Senior Polo – Men

Southampton City Water Polo Club’s men’s squad consist of a range of ages from 17 up to 68 years of age of mixed ability. We train on a Wednesday and Thursday night at the Winchester Sport and Leisure Park. We enter two teams in the Hampshire League(Lager and Bitter), as well as a team in the British Water Polo League, and various other local ‘fun’ tournaments and Veterans’ events (over 40s and over 50s.)

We usually play our home matches in Winchester on Thursday nights. If there is sufficient demand, we will also run extra sessions for novice and developing players, either in Winchester or Southampton.

To attend any of these sessions you will need to join Southampton City Water polo club and be a member of the Amatuer Swimming Association (ASA)

Dive into Fun with Southampton Sirens Women's Water Polo Club!

Welcome to the Southampton Sirens, where water polo meets friendship and fun! We are a vibrant, friendly, and inclusive club that welcomes new members of all skill levels—from absolute beginners to seasoned national league players.

Our home is the Winchester Sport and Leisure Park, where we train every Monday evening from 8 PM to 10 PM. We boast two dynamic squads: the Competition Squad for our intermediate players who have honed their skills in the British Water Polo League and National Conference League, and the Development Squad for new and developing players eager to learn and grow.

We take a mixed team to both the London League and Hampshire League, ensuring plenty of opportunities for everyone to compete and have fun. Beyond the pool, we’re a social bunch! We regularly host friendly matches with local teams and embark on exciting annual tournaments abroad. In recent years, our adventures have taken us to Germany, Guernsey, and even Iceland.

Our fees start at just £28 a month for the Development Squad, with a one-time admin fee upon joining. So, whether you're looking to compete or just make a splash with new friends, come join the Sirens and be part of our water polo family!

We have a very close link with Winchester Waterpolo Club who run junior waterpolo sessions at the following times:-

  • Junior polo for 8-11 year olds (Mondays 7:00-8:00pm)

  • Junior polo for 11-13 year olds (Tuesdays 7:30-8:30pm)

  • Junior polo for 14-17 year olds (Tuesdays 9.00-10.00pm)
